![]() | A View to a Kill (James Bond) [Blu-ray]
The best Bond movie ever! Panned by critics, but who cares. Roger Moore still played Bond effectively seven films later, Christopher Walken as the most insane and demonic Bond villain, and one of the most outrageous, over-the-top, yet well conceived and well executed plots.

![]() | Licence to Kill [Blu-ray]
Buy new: $20.99 / Used from: $16.29 Finally, Dalton gets to play Bond in his own style! The comical twists of previous Bond movies are gone this time around. This movie was just what the Bond series needed at the time, a cold, dark revenge plot. Perfect for Dalton!

![]() | On Her Majesty's Secret Service (James Bond) [Blu-ray]
There's no doubt that Lazenby is not a refined actor in anybody's mind, but this movie had the most action out of any Bond movie ever made! Although not a demonstration in world class acting, the movie has enough other merits to more than make up for it. Everything about this movie, from the action, to the plot, to the romantic scenes, is executed beautifully.
![]() | For Your Eyes Only (Bb) (Ws Dub Sub Ult Ac3 Dol) [Blu-ray]
Buy used from: $9.98 Moore's best Bond movie after A View to a Kill. This one was much more story-driven and a bit less comedic than some of Moore's other movies.
![]() | Casino Royale (Collector's Edition + BD Live) [Blu-ray]
Buy new: $21.99 / Used from: $14.92 Bond revolutionized! It was doubtful whether or not the series would recover from the dreadful Die Another Day, but Casino Royale literally blew peoples minds. A solid story, great dialogue, and gritty and realistic action sequences.
![]() | Moonraker (James Bond) (Amazon.com Exclusive Steelbook Edition) [Blu-ray]
Buy new: $35.99 / Used from: $23.99 Grossly underrated Bond movie. Classic scenes, well-executed plot, and one of Moore's better performances. If one can get past the cheesy Star-Wars era laser gun duels and fancy spaceship sequences, the movie is quite enjoyable due to its other merits.
![]() | The Spy Who Loved Me (James Bond) [Blu-ray]
After two mediocre Bond movies, this movie is the one that really jump-started the Bond series for the next two decades, and solidified Moore's career as Bond. A wild plot, great action sequences, and the debut of Jaws!
![]() | Quantum of Solace [Blu-ray]
Buy new: $19.99 / Used from: $9.99 Bond still going strong after all these years! Not quite as good as Casino Royale, but strong characters and a fine performance by Daniel Craig rounded it out.
![]() | The Living Daylights (James Bond) [Blu-ray]
Dalton was a great Bond, and he really melted into the role from day one, but this movie was just missing a little something. The movie starts out with the groundwork for a great plot, but towards the halfway point of the movie, the plot turns to scrambled eggs, and the ending doesn't do the movie any justice. A bit of a letdown in an otherwise great movie.
![]() | Octopussy (James Bond) [Blu-ray]
Not Moore's finest hour as Bond. This movie often comes to mind when criticism arises about overdone comedy during the Moore era. A circus caper? Is that the best they could have come up with for Bond at the time? Still an enjoyable effort, nonetheless.
![]() | The Man with the Golden Gun [Blu-ray]
Buy new: $20.99 / Used from: $24.83 Other than the iconic carnival house duel sequence, this movie suffers from being average. It's definitely not a bad Bond movie, yet at the same time it doesn't really push the envelope either.
![]() | Live & Let Die (1971) (Bb) (Ws Dub Sub Ult Ac3) [Blu-ray]
Buy used from: $12.00 Well-conceived and well-executed plot, but in my opinion one of Moore's most weak Bond movies. Moore was off to a weak start as Bond, but recovered in later films.
![]() | Thunderball (Bb) (Ws Dub Sub Ac3 Dol Dts) [Blu-ray]
Connery's best Bond movie, in my opinion. This had more action that any of his other Bond movies, and one of the wildest plots. Largo was a bit bland as a Bond villain but overall it didn't hurt the movie much.
![]() | Goldfinger [Blu-ray]
Buy new: $19.99 / Used from: $18.80 Although one of my favorites, I would have to say this is probably the most overrated Bond movie of all time. The plot makes absolutely no sense at all. This movie is iconic, not because of a revolutionary plot or world class acting, but because of cool death scenes and witty one-liners. Other than that, the movie falls flat on its face. Still enjoyable, nonetheless.
![]() | From Russia With Love (Bb) (Ws Dub Sub Ult Ac3) [Blu-ray]
Buy used from: $23.20 Typical 60's Bond. Not very exciting by today's standards, but good for the time. Russian cold-war stereotyping at its absolute worst. The intense fight scene in the train near the end made it all worth it though, as well as Bond's nymphomaniac Russian girlfriend.
![]() | Dr No (1962) (Bb) (Ws Dub Sub Ult Ac3 Dol Dts) [Blu-ray]
Buy used from: $17.59 Connery gets so much credit for being the first Bond, although the role was played by Barry Nelson on television 8 years earlier. A good movie, in spite of a slow-moving plot and flat co-stars. Ursula Andress would be the Marilyn Monroe of the Bond series; famous for her good looks alone, and nothing to do with talent.
![]() | GoldenEye (James Bond) [Blu-ray]
Now what would any Bond movie be without stereotypical Russian cartoon characters? All we need now is Boris, Natasha, and Bullwinkle the Moose. I will say this is probably Brosnan's best Bond movie, but that's not to say alot. None of Brosnan's movies are really anything to write home about, really. I think Brosnan is quite possibly the most overrated Bond except for Connery.
![]() | The World is Not Enough (James Bond) (Amazon.com Exclusive Steelbook Edition) [Blu-ray]
Buy new: $35.99 / Used from: $19.01 This movie tried to have a bit more of a story to it, but again falls flat. Nobody's acting performance really stands out in this movie, save for Sophie Marceau. Denise Richards was miscast as a brainy scientist(she would have been a better candidate for Electra King). Robert Carlysle is a bit too goofy to be believable as the world's greatest terrorist.
![]() | Tomorrow Never Dies (James Bond) [Blu-ray]
Painfully average. This movie just screams average Bond movie. Action scenes with Michelle Yeoh, as well as some memorable stunt sequences spiced things up a little bit, but bland performances by Brosnan, Hatcher, and Pryce dulled the movie down quite a bit.
![]() | Die Another Day (Bb) (Ws Dub Sub Ult Ac3 Dol) [Blu-ray]
Buy used from: $14.98 One of the weakest Bond movies. Horrible one-line dialogue, poor plot(remake of Diamonds are Forever, one of the worst Bond movies) and awful-looking CGI to fill in the gaps. Talk about coasting along on pre-existing success. Brosnan didn't hit any home-runs with his performance in this movie, either.
![]() | You Only Live Twice (James Bond) [Blu-ray]
Connery had become too complacent with his role as Bond at this point. He looks bored throughout the entire movie, and. This was arguably the first Bond movie that started the trend of over-budgeting and building all of the over-extravagant sets. This was not cinema, this was spectacle.
![]() | Diamonds Are Forever (James Bond) [Blu-ray]
Awful. This movie doesn't border on self parody, this movie IS self-parody. A disappointing follow-up to On Her Majesty's Secret Service in every way. This would have been the perfect opportunity to create a darker, grittier, revenge-based Bond movie, which we didn't get to see until Licence to Kill.
