![]() | How Art Made the World
Buy new: $16.99 / Used from: $17.59 Nigel Spivey takes the viewer through a series of events, examining how art is used and how it affects us in our world today... sometimes making a stretch to show a connection, in my opinion... but still a exceptional series, for young and old.
|
![]() | Simon Schama's Power of Art
Buy new: $24.49 / Used from: $35.83 over the top drama? check. Over the top everything? check. Simon Schama takles the viewer on a trip into the lives of well-known artists, and although some of these films should be watched before viewing in the classroom, it the equivalent to the blockbuster summer movie... minus a few explosions.

|
![]() | Every Picture Tells a Story
Buy new: $37.49 / Used from: $27.72 The host of this show is a little loud, and to be honest...is not as well done as Shama's or Spivey's dvd set (the glares off of the paintings are a distraction)...I even think Sister Wendy's are done better. I do like the way he is shown on location, however.
