I personally prefer the version with Deckards narration it seems to be the version closest to the novel. In addition, I really dont think the so called happy ending is really that jovial.

Christopher Reeve is a playwright who becomes obsessed with an actress (Jane Seymour) who was at her zenith in 1912. Reeve is able to go back to 1912 to meet this performer. A cult classic that is accompanied by a haunting and beautiful soundtrack by John Barry.

It is really cool to see Mark Hamill playing someone other than Luke Skywalker. Annie Potts is also very funny as a wannabe hooker. The style of clothes might have aged in this film, but not the humor.
