The MagusThe Magus

I didn't know what to make of this bizarre, disconjointed film. I found myself hypnotized by the surroundings and the atmosphere that 'the Magus' sets for you. Mysterious and almost magical film. Not for everyone though...

My favorite Altman movie. Such a quirky, odd little film. If you ever come across a copy of it, it's definitely worth picking up.

After seeing the Umbrellas of Cherbourg a few years back, I was skeptical of Jacques Demy. I so wanted to like that movie but it includes the kind of sing-speaking that I simply cannot tolerate in a musical. Since this was not a musical I gave it a shot, and I'm so glad I did! It's just the kind of lavish fairy tale that I love. Really beautiful, really neat story!
The Yellow TeddybearsThe Yellow Teddybears

ignore the stupid generic cover art. This is one of the greatest juvenile delinquency films I've ever encoutered!

interesting movie featuring Rod Steiger as a sociopathic mama's boy. George Segal gives a fine performance as always.

I have a deeply rooted love for all of the Indiana Jones films. I watched them over and over again as a kid, like a lot of other kids I'm sure. I always loved the cross refrencing to metaphyisical and acheological myths, this was no exception. I enjoyed this movie easily as much as the others and I'm not afraid to admit it!
