My Personal Ranking of Grisham Books
By an Amazon.com customer
The RainmakerThe Rainmaker by John Grisham
Buy new: $11.20 / Used from: $2.96
This is what started me reading a lot of Grisham. Good characters, good story, good color, really kept me reading.
The ChamberThe Chamber by John Grisham
Buy new: $10.40 / Used from: $0.79
The characters really touched me, and I enjoyed the way it was done. This was one of the first Grisham books I read, but it was a good one.
The FirmThe Firm by John Grisham
Buy used from: $0.01
I read this a long time ago, but it was really compelling.
The Runaway JuryThe Runaway Jury by John Grisham
Buy used from: $0.99
Very compelling, very good plotline, though sometimes a bit unrealistic and stretched.
The BrokerThe Broker by John Grisham
Buy new: $10.40 / Used from: $0.92
Weak characters, but good story and great action sequence near the end.
The Innocent ManThe Innocent Man by John Grisham
Buy new: $7.99 / Used from: $0.01
Good story, but not quite as well written as some others, I don’t think.
The Last JurorThe Last Juror by John Grisham
Buy new: $10.20 / Used from: $1.00
Good effort to give some color for “life in the South” during the Civil Rights era, but not the absolute best story I’ve ever written. Good parts and bad parts, and boring overall story.
Playing for PizzaPlaying for Pizza by John Grisham
Buy new: $7.99 / Used from: $0.01
Again, good cultural stuff (this time Italy) but not much of a story. But it compelled me.
The PartnerThe Partner by John Grisham
Buy new: $10.40 / Used from: $0.81
Just didn’t enjoy the story, characters, or much of anything. Found it very superficial and bland (funny to call one Grisham book more superficial than the next).
