Nominated in all (8) of my sources (just 3 of the following 30 movies where nominated in all of them). 4 first places, 7 top tens. It deserves the number 1 spot.

The last of the nominated-on-all-sources trilogy. It also have 3 first place nominations to go with 7 top tens. Why not second place? Don't know. Probably because Raging Bull have that Scorsese and DeNiro pair... and I don't like Costner very much.

Just Rocky. Two second places, a third and other 2 nominations. Overall an excelent movie.

This one is like Rocky. Just 5 nominations but got a 2nd place and 2 5th.

Kind of like this movie... and not because of Redford. It gets 7 nominations, 5 of them in the top ten.

I this movie were released a couple of years before, it would have made it into some other rankings. Just for that it got just 2 nominations, but ended with a 2nd and a 12th places.

See "Million Dollar Baby". Just a nomination, with a 4th place finish.

The following items are bonus tracks. Those movies either doesn't appear in any of my sources, nor get enough points to qualify for the top 30, but I like them... a lot. "We're gonna take those people and try to put together a winning team. If nothing else, they should be fun to watch."

Dennis Quaid makes for an excelent actor-athlete, doesn't he? (See Any Given Sunday). "Coach: Jimmy, I just got off the phone with the big club. They're calling up Brooks." "Jimmy: That's great. He won't be back." "Coach: He respects you, and I think you ought to be the one to tell him. Being that you're going, too..."

If you want to give Chilean cinema a try, you can't go wrong with this movie. It's great and it's going to show you why soccer is such a popular game down here.
