Months after being expelled from the boarding school, Danny receives a letter from Thandiwe Adjewa: "Danny...we're in Nairobi now and finally safe. Mayas warm response to the letter Miles wrote makes him visit her - he knocks at her door....and the movie ends. I have always imagined that Maya opens that door and smile....would have been a more enjoyable ending......Anyways....

Paula and Lucys ecstatic joy when they realize that Elliot is in fact returning. Paula shouts from the window and Elliot laughing at his crazy woman.

The last scene when Anne is walking across the crowded living room in complete peace - and Captain Wentworth in front of everybody asking Mr. Elliot for his daughters hand in marriage. And Mr. Elliot totally bewildered saying: Anne? Whatever for? And Anne and Wentworth sailing of to sea....
