The Graco Pack 'n Play is essential. Models with the changer and/or newborn napper are impractical. The bassinet insert was very useful to me. The Pack 'n Play is great for travel, as a play pen and as an alternative napping area. Make sure to register for additional sheets - the will be listed as "playard" sheets, NOT "portable crib" sheets. Koala Kids brand are much softer than the Graco brand.

Hands down the best baby monitor that there is. Great range, great settings options, night vision, zoom. I have absolutely NO regrets buying this monitor. This gave me so much security when moving my little guy into his own room. HIGHLY recommended.

Must have for winter babies. I got the Babies R Us "Just for Baby" kind, outside is water resistant and inside is fleece. I never used a snowsuit (not practical, too hot when the baby is in the car) and this carrier cover was much better when paired with a blanket. If baby fell asleep, we bring the carrier inside and just remove the cover. Don’t waste the $40 on a baby snowsuit.

This is also available in an infant carrier size also. You will use this if mosquitoes are ever a possibility. I always keep it in the diaper bag at that time of year. You'll be glad you had it!

This is a super convenient stroller to use with the Snugride. Although the stroller included in the travel system also will hold the carseat, this was much lighter and smaller and easier to maneuver. I used the larger stroller once the Snugride became too small.

Must have item, it's great to see baby in your rearview mirror. Get one for each car. And keep baby rearfacing for as long as possible, even past 1 year of age, it's the safest.

This is a great high chair. It is super portable, it doesn't take up extra space, and it reclines, turns into a booster seat, you name it. It securely attaches to every chair I've ever tried it on. If you have the room, you could go for something else, but this has been GREAT in our apartment.

This breastpump is amazing. If you are not sure, wait until you have established breastfeeding before you spend the money. This is the most portable and easiest breastpump and so easy to use and just great. I love it. Best money I ever spent. I've never bought formula and this has paid for itself at least 10x over.

I used the Medela brand, but these are a LIFESAVER on sore nipples. They healed some MAJOR damage that were done to mine in the beginning.

If you plan to breastfeed, you will want this.

I researched every type of bottle and chose these. Great decision! NEVER had a problem with getting baby to accept these. NEVER had a problem switching between breast and bottle. The best bottles out there. Get extra nipples, they do deteriorate over time.

I bought the book at a yard sale and loved it. I bought the trays separately and not only do I save money by making my own baby food, but I know that my little boy isn't ingesting all those preservatives and weird chemicals and stuff in store bought baby food. It's not that hard, surprisingly.

There are multiple versions of this, any of which would be great. This thing entertains my son SO much! If you can find this second hand in good condition (got mine from a consignment shop), it's just as good, just clean it up and you're good to go.

I kept the decorative bumper in the crib until he started sleeping in it - then I switched it to this. I wouldn't say that it's terribly necessary, although it is recommended to prevent SIDS. It's just one less thing I have to worry about.
