My K-2 love Mr. Wiggle! Mr. Wiggle describes, in rhyming text and illustrations, his first visit to the library and how he learns about the way it is organized and how to look for what he wants to find. I use this text to tour our media center.

A great book for teaching Library Rules, and one of my most requested Library related books. With just the right amount of silliness this book works as a wonderful discussion starter about library rules.

Teaching how a library is organized can be tough, but Skoob is back and ready to help. "Skoob, the shelf elf, explains the Dewey Decimal System by which books are shelved in the library, likening the different subject categories to neighborhoods, and the numbers on the book spines to addresses. Includes lessons designed to familiarize students with the library "neighborhoods."
