I really think it’s one of the best spaghetti westerns from my favorite director Sergio Corbucci. Corbucci hated movies with happy endings & this is his anti-hero movie with an anti-hero ending. The ending was so shocking that the film producers forced Corbucci to film an alternate “happy” ending which is included in this DVD, but it isn’t quite effective as the original ending.

One of Italy’s most successful westerns ever because internationally, it produced over 50 sequels! “Strikes Again” is the only authorized sequel. In “Django” watch for Franco Nero’s opening scene when he drags a coffin across the desert & into town. Wait till you see what's inside! Also look for the ear cutting scene in “Django” that Quentin Tarentino used later in “Reservoir Dogs”.

Another Sergio Leone Classic! Henry Fonda steals the show as he plays one of the meanest villains of his career! The strong cast also features Charles Bronson & the always sexy, Claudia Cardinale.

Contains “They Call Me Trinity” & “Trinity is Still My Name”. Classic western comedies with some action featuring Terence Hill & Bud Spencer. Great widescreen transfers on both DVD’s from Hen’s Tooth. Great opening scene of Terrance Hill riding across the country with a wood/cloth stretcher being pulled by his horse while he sleeps. Simply hilarious!

The second best film in the "Man with no Name" trilogy. Lee Van Cliff is the main star in this film and Clint Eastwood plays second fiddle. Lee and Clint actually band together as allies & have a friendly competition between them. Some comedic moments including Clint Eastwood taking inventory of his dead bounties while gunning down the last man when he realizes his count is off. Hilarious!

Not really a "Django" movie, but it features Tomis Milian as a half-breed bandit who is betrayed & left for dead. He returns for revenge & ends up in a town called "The Unhappy Place". One of the strangest westerns you'll ever see.
