Very good book on spiritual disciplines. Includes the discipline of solitude, but is not limited to that in the way that Making All Things New is.

The Harry Potter books are amazing. Terribly well written and surprisingly intelligent, they're destined to be classics. And don't be fooled by evangelical Christians, they're actually very moral. :)

These translations are not as good as the English ones, of course. It's always best to read a book in its original language when possible. But I find these very helpful for improving my French.

Generally regarded to be a fairly authoritative version of Shakespeare. And includes all of his works; both plays and sonnets.

A very touching book about a family trying to survive in Brooklyn. Easy enough for a child to read, but written well enough to keep anyone interested.

Not as good as Frankenstein, in my opinion. While the storyline is imaginitive and entertaining, I found the story to drag significantly in places.

Not written in the same way as The Lord of the Rings. This one is written more for children. There's more adventure, and it's not nearly as life-threatening. But very fun, and worth the read.
