This movie contains the only realistic sex scene I have ever seen where the couple do not have magnetized sex organs that get together magically without assistance.

The real show stopper is when a handsome pig farmer played by the Joseph Fiennes goes down on her while they are stranded in North Africa. Maybe the only time in mainstream cinema where this happens to a female.

Modern High School Version of the “Taming of the Shrew” with Heath Ledger (Patrick Verona) playing the shrew-tamer character. He oozes worldly confidence, a wry wit and a romantic streak which can’t help but win over Kat (the shrew) to whom he declares “You know, it’s not every day that you find a girl that will flash someone to get you out of detention”

Poor Clara is a 24 year old maid, listening to cat-calls at her sister-in-law Eula, watching her brother chase Eula and watching her father run around with a woman half his age. Enter Ben Quick, a handsome drifter. Ben is smolderingly sexy and he urges Clara to “Get out of character, lady. Come on, get way out.”. Ben recognizes her as an independent woman with a mind of her own and thus wins her.

George Clooney comes into his own while locked in the trunk of a car with Jennifer Lopez. He’s a bank robber who never uses a gun, just talks his way into the loot whether it be cash or the leading lady. Sparks fly, the like of which haven’t been seen on screen for many a year.

Unhappy in her job and her life, feeling defined by her single-status, Nora Wilder has seems to have stopped dreaming big enough until she meets Julien the appealing French man who urges her to take chances and dream bigger. Watching the subtle emotions on Nora and Julien's faces is a real treat and a great turn-on. Nora feels real, not a down and out annoying cliché female in a romance.
