![]() | A Quick One (Happy Jack) by The Who
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $3.98 The Who move into pop territory without losing their edge. Best known for the "mini-opera," A Quick One While He's Away.
![]() | The Who Sell Out by The Who
Buy new: $8.99 / Used from: $3.00 The Who move further into the realm of pop, perhaps a little self-comsciously; hence, the "Sell Out" sobriquet and the commercials between songs. Features the incomparable "I Can See For Miles," as well as "Underture" (from Tommy) themes in the song "Rael."

![]() | Tommy by The Who

![]() | Quadrophenia by The Who

![]() | Who Are You by The Who
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $7.99 The last album on which Keith Moon features. Who Are You is another solid offering, with nary a wasted moment.
![]() | Face Dances by The Who
Buy new: $11.98 / Used from: $4.39 Kenny Jones fills in nicely for Keith Moon, but, naturally enough, some of the fire is gone from the band. There's not a bad song on this album, and some are excellent (Don't Let Go the Coat, Daily Records), but the effect isn't quite the same. How could it be?
![]() | It's Hard by The Who
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $7.22 The Who soldier on, and this is a competently rendered piece of work, but, by this point, the lustre has faded a bit. That said, for many other bands this would be the best they could muster, and it's not something you'd have to be embarassed for owning.
