The least "successful" Rodgers & Hammerstein show about characters, which, according to Rodgers, were ill suited to the universe of Rodgers and Hammerstein. Nevertheless, the score contains at least a few delightful neglected songs, especially "The Man I Used to Be".

This recording with expanded orchestrations by John Green brings out every melodic and harmonic jewel in this vastly underrated R&H set - a near perfect recorded presentation of this lovely song score (this is a studio re-recording with much more energy and focus than the vocals in the videotaped performance).

The last song score by Rodgers from 1979 with lyrics by "Annie" lyricist Martin Charnin which is unfortunately short on dance numbers and energy but full of charm.
