The whole boxed set is pretty good (except for Knives of the Avenger), but Black Sabbath is the one that makes this list. It is one of the best horror anthologies I've seen, with three tales that get increasingly creepier.

The new psychologist at an asylum is challenged to find the old chief doctor among the patients. How the residents wound up locked away provides the tales. Another Amicus production.

John Carradine is escorted by a vampiric Vincent Price to the title club, where fake monsters dance to bad music. The stories Price tells are of erratic value, but the DVD commentary has a Mystery Science Theater-like quality that compensates for the movie's deficiencies.

This Roger Corman-directed film features three Poe stories with such big stars as Vincent Price, Basil Rathbone and Peter Lorre and has a screenplay by Richard Matheson.

Based on the TV show, this is another hit-or-miss anthology which remakes or revisits the series episodes.
