Unusual (to say the least) cast, silly handling of potboiler plot and faster-than-average pace make this essential viewing.

A couple of laugh-out-loud wrongheaded moments. Also uses trumpet stings for emphasis during verbal and physical fights. Ohmart and Hutton star.

As horrible and totally watchable as Eegah, without the sickeningly bizarre undercurrents or cutaways. Marianne Gaba is quite pretty.

3 for 1: AIP's first foray, another I haven't seen, and one starring the gorgeous Lori Nelson and Chuck Connors' amusingly earnest jaw muscles.

The original AIP "Teenage" JD/horror amalgamation, and the best.

Steve McQueen and pals vs. giant blob of alien marmalade. How can anyone not like this movie?

Corman's original title was Prehistoric World, but it was changed to meet the trend, making Vaughn's character ludicrous. Cavemen melded with beatniks and a Planet of the Apes ending 10 years earlier.

Time for a *legitimate* film on this list. One of the first, slips up only a few mild times in its (very) early expose of urban gangs in public schools. Watch out for Klinger.

About as close to JD as the 40's offered (besides Bowery Boys), this follows Andy to NYC where he meets real-world heartache, deception and loss. Dated and corny but still touching.

Any or all of the Beach Party movies could be included for the Brando parody, Von Zipper. This is one of my faves for having Susan Hart and Bobbi Shaw in it so much.

The movies are okay, but as with all SWV releases, some of the extras are nasty.
