Beautiful watch. Interesting concept.
The watch has a nice, large face, but not overly so. For those who are turned off by the 47mm and 48mm Brietling watch faces as being too huge, this may border on too big for you. But at 45mm, it's a nice, hefty size without being gargantuan.

The leather of the band is thick and rugged, and looks like it will last for at least most if not all of the 11 years of the warranty period. The watch itself is quite beautiful. Rose gold to accentuate fall colours. Black to match a variety of clothing.

And then there's the half-quartz, half-automatic internals. Time is kept regular with fine quartz movement, showing the hour and minute. There is no second hand, and there are no ticks for minutes between the 5-minute marker, so setting this to exact time can be somewhat of a clumsy experience, but if you set it on the 5-minute mark, you'll do okay.

The spinning gears over to the left of the watch face are all done with automatic movement (for those who don't know, an automatic watch is usually a combination wind watch and also gains its power from a pendulum that moves when your arm moves, winding the watch on its own from body movement). This means that it will only be ticking away if you've been moving within the last day or so to wind the mechanism. If you leave the watch off for a few days, and come back to it to see no spinning gears, this is completely normal, and it just needs to be worn to spin up again.

All in all, it's a lovely design, and a smart-looking watch. Dressy enough for any occasion, and yet casual enough to wear on a daily basis.

Awesome watch!
I received this watch from my girlfriend for Valentines Day and it is absolutely awesome looking. It is larger than what you would expect from the photo on Amazon. The face measures approximately 1.75" in diameter, which is great because it allows more of the inner workings to be exposed, which is really what makes this watch so cool. What I really like is that the actual time keeping (the minute and hour hands) are battery powered, but the automatic portions gain their power from the movement of the person wearing it. So even if you don't wear the watch for a few days, the time will be correct and only the inner workings will stop moving. Once you wear the watch again for a few minutes, it will wind itself up, and begin moving again. Also the gold portions are very polished and bright(they have sort of a matte finish in the Amazon pic). The watch looks great in the photos, but you have to see it in person to really know how sharp it looks! I love it and highly recommend it.

Even more beautiful in person
This watch looks really cool in the picture, but I can tell you it is even MORE AMAZING IN PERSON! the picture just doesn't do it justice. The seller was really great at a speedy delivery and responded to my questions fast and accurately! I gave it as a valentines gift and still get thanks for it!
