Pictures are all wrong
I tried this on my normally light/medium golden blonde hair. I had darkish roots showing and I thought I would give this a try versus going to the salon. I used 9W Light Golden Blonde/Carla. Well, first of all the photos on the boxes are all wonky. The color descriptions and titles look nothing like the hair color of the models in the photos. "Carla"'s hair is not anywhere near 'light golden blonde' Her hair is brown, light brown possibly, but definitly brown. So do you go by the picture or the name? I went by the name and chose 9W. It did a fine job lightening my roots and overall gave me a lovely DARKISH golden blonde color. Darkish blonde is fine in the winter so I was okay with it, but if you need hair color with a lot of 'lift' don't use this. Choose a color close to your natural color as this won't lighten hair very much at all.

It was very easy on my hair, not too drying or damaging, and I liked the brush application system. I also liked that you get a lot of color with this system, since I have long hair and need a lot to do my whole head. The color is very pretty tho not 'light' it is still a very pretty shade of golden blonde.

I would recommend it for anyone who isn't trying to lighten their hair color by more than a shade and I think the colors are a bit darker than they are described. Forget using the pictures to go by as they are all wrong. It gives you soft believable color if you can choose the right one.

Worth the money.
I bought a dark blonde shade. The color is actually brown. Go by the color on the box and not the name.

I was worried about applying it via brush but had no problems. The odor was not annoying. I didn't feel like I was going to pass out from fumes as I have felt with other brands.

My hair turned out soft, smooth, shiny and the color saturation was perfect. The color never faded. It looked beautiful from day one. Since the color was close to my own, I did not have to worry about a root touch-up. It's been three months and I'm just now ready to re-color.

Love this product! I highly recommend it and will never use another brand of hair coloring again.

High Quality product; totally covered the grey
I tried 4W because it was recommended by a woman who had tried it before and she thought it would be the best match for my color. The kit is very substantial. I loved the brush; somehow, it was much more effective than the one that comes with other more popular drug-store brands. The cream is really, really thick -- almost the consistency of mud, and there is a LOT of it. I have hair below the shoulders, and I still had some left-over. I also have a lot of resistant grey, and this color totally covered it with very even color. I kept it on for 40 minutes and followed all other instructions exactly. The results were a very, very rich dark brown color. From the rubber gloves, it's obvious that there is a lot of red in this product, but my hair doesn't look bronze-y. It does, however, look a full shade darker than it was. In low light, it looks black. In sunlight, it has golden tones. I recommend it, if you want a very rich and shiney result from color.
