About FreeStyle
With the extremist in mind, FreeStyle has created an extensive collection of innovative performance watches that will go with you to the edge and back--whether you're surfing, skiing, biking, or hiking. Established in 1981, Freestyle Watches was the brainchild of a couple of Surfers whose mission was to create a watch line that could withstand the abusive conditions of their beach lifestyle. Their experience told them very few watches on the market could stand up to the daily abuse of salt water and sand. The result was The Shark Freestyle watch, a lightweight, low profile, and extremely durable timepiece that was immediately demanded by athletes all over the world.
Freestyle Brand
History Freestyle was the first surf watch brand in the US. Since 1981, Freestyle has been making durable, dependable, stylish watches all built to withstand the abuses of the high-intensity, rider lifestyle, both in and out of the water. It is an authentic, credible action sports brand with roots in surf and founded on performance, providing stylish performance timepieces with enduring quality and durability, while maintaining competitive, affordable pricing. Freestyle Watches Feature:
Twenty-eight years ago, a couple of surfers turned a simple observation into a cultural icon. Nowhere could they find a watch that would withstand the abusive conditions of their lifestyle, and the damaging effect of salt water and sand. Necessity being the mother of invention, Freestyle was born. Freestyle has since evolved into a diverse collection of watches ranging from the iconic Shark watch to athlete designed signature time pieces.
Customer Reviews
LOVE the watch. HATE the band.
I've now had two of these watches. Because I loved the watch. First band broke within a year; second band broke within 8 months.
Nice price, so I won't really complain, but come on - build a band that holds up like the watch!
Too expensive to replace the band - you just end up getting a new watch.
A great watch isnt much use if it wont stay on your wrist!
Great watch, poor band: Mako 788
This is a great watch but it has a poor band. I sent mine in twice and they replaced it twice (with the $8.50 processing fee each time). It broke again so I bought a new watch (yes, I liked it that much). The new band on the new watch lasted three months and broke!
Freestyle no longer sells this model. I wonder why...
A great watch isnt much use if it wont stay on your wrist! I am now wearing another brand.
Under pressure
Got this as a gift about four months ago. Was stoked as it was the first real surfing watch I ever owned. The watch is top notch however the band could use some work. It didnt last three months in not even pounding surf. Split in two !
