Indestructible so far. It's eaten a lot of dust w/ no complaints. Bought an 18V milwaukee cordless drill based on my positive experience with this one.

used some of these in mobile bases for the table saw and jointer. I'm not sure what the metal is but it's really soft. Don't take out the grease fittings because you'll never get them back in without stripping the threads.

Better than a 2x4 and two clamps.

Very light magnesium body. No need to oil which is very nice. Not sure I like the safety guard on the nose. Power is adjustable which comes in handy when firing into 3/4" MDF (dense).

keep a few of these around. 80 is a good, aggressive grit. They also sell 60 but it's pretty barbaric.

I don't know why this is so cheap. Great deal. Easily modified for router table use. I'm a fan of the collet locking system, especially on a router table, but some people prefer the two-wrench system. Update: Hitachi has come out with an updated version (M12V2) with some weird black rubber stripes that looks like it belongs in Alien vs Predator. Whatever, still probably a good router.

Looks pretty cheap, but actually fairly sturdy, just has goofy styling. Cutterhead lock helps reduce snipe. Dual feed speed is very useful. Dust tends to accumulate on the sides between the posts and black plastic casing. This will do until I get a bigger shop and have more room.

got this free with the planer. I can see why it was free. Gave it away to a friend at work when I came across an old 1950's craftsman grinder that weighs 4x as much.

Acutally have a no-name chinese set. Forstner bits are nice to have and don't have to be this expensive.

This is actually a placeholder for my general 350 table saw I bought at auction in 2003. Great saw. Dust collection outlet and ramp have been added. Swapped in a single-phase farm duty TEFC farm duty motor for the three phase one.

bought some components from this system to use on my crosscut sled.

Not sure if this is 2x as good as the 6" random orbit porter cable (97366 or 7366) but it is an awesome tool. Sands much quicker and creates 1/100 the dust of my quarter-sheet dewalt. Fein site says it has a 5/16" stroke vs. a 1/16" for the dewalt palm sander it replaced. Couldn't find the 6" eight-hole paper at my local store, but amazon has a good price on it.

Bought this to do some face frames that were too small for my smallest biscuits. Worked good for that and since then used it surprisingly often. Really speeds up construction.

I think I actually have the older model of this saw. They changed the locking mechanism, but I think that's it. Crown stops and hold-down are nice add-ons. Stock blade is pretty flimsy. Upgraded blade to a systimatic one. Hitachi also makes a nicer blade than stock.

Good for chopping angle, tube, and bar stock to size. Draws almost exactly 15 amps which trips my breaker a lot.

Nice to have this around when cutting MDF, sanding, or welding. Moves a lot of air. Fan seems well balanced; no rattle. Has a washable electrostatic pre-filter which is nice.
