| Many years ago we had a section of books devoted to the American Indian veteran. With the many changes over the years it became mixed in with all the others. After watching the superb PBS program, “The Way of the Warrior” which covered some of the history of the American Indian veteran, I was inspired to bring this section of our bookstore back. From “The Way of the Warrior”: “General Patton once called the 45th infantry perhaps the best division in the history of American arms.” They were known as the Thunderbirds and wore the thunderbird insignia on their shoulders.
