Used this adapter extensively on our trip to London/St. Ives, had no problems. Only thing I would do differently is take 2 next time.

Check your appliance Voltage Rating - Dual Voltage or Not ?
A grounded adapter or non grounded adapter only changes the pin configuration to fit inside another country's electrical outlet. An adapter does not change the voltage. You need to check your appliance's voltage to see if it is dual voltage 110 - 240 volts. If so, all you need is an adapter and they do the job fine. If the appliance rating is only for 120 volts and it is not dual voltage, then you will need to buy a converter or transformer to go with the adapter. This converter ( or transformer) will then lower the incoming voltage down from 240 volts ( in Europe, Africa and most of Asia ) to 120 volts. Remember - adapters only adapt the pins, they do not change the voltage.
