Product Description

Honeyville's Freeze Dried Blueberries are produced in a process where moisture is removed from the product using a very low temperature and a vacuum. Only about 3 percent moisture remains in the product at the time of packaging. The end product weight is reduced by over 90 percent, while the volume stays the same. This remarkable process concentrates the fresh product taste, natural color, and texture of fresh product in it's freeze dried state. When re-hydrated with water the product will maintain the texture and shape of fresh product, with no shrinking or shriveling. Freeze Dried and Dehydrated products are less expensive than wet pack food because you are not paying for all the water. The taste is great, and the nutritional food value is excellent. Freeze drying provides natural and additive free fruits and vegetables to be stored effectively for long periods of time. Remember Honeyville's Freeze Dried and Dehydrated fruits are stable products with a long shelf life without additives or preservatives.

Customer Reviews

freeze dried fruit rules!5
Wonderful for eating as a snack right out of the can or in cereal. Not hard little rock-like things, but real blueblueberries!

Excellent Snack5
These are excellent. I have used them in yogurt and cereal but mostly just eat a handful of them as a nice sweet snack.

Very convenient5
These can be kept on the shelf. If my husband wants blueberry pancakes, I soften them in milk. Terrific pancakes. In the morning while I am getting breakfast, I put a half cup in plain nonfat yogurt and place the bowl in the refrigerator. At lunchtime the berries have absorbed moisture from the yogurt which makes me feel I am eating something more substantial. I have also used the dehydrated fruit in a smoothie. It makes the smoothie seem thick and rich.
