Editorial Reviews

From the Manufacturer
The Frye Company is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. Founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a well-to-do shoemaker from England, and family-run until 1945, Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers on both sides of America's Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-American war, and by Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. When home-steading drew adventurous New England families to the West during the mid and late 1800's many of the pioneers wore Frye Boots for the long journey. Today Frye remains true to its roots with its line of heritage boots, but continues to innovate as it introduces chic new handbags, pumps, and sandals to its collection.

Customer Reviews

Lasts Forever5
I just ordered my second pair of Frye boots. I got the first ones as a High School graduation present in 1979. I had them resoled and reheeled many times. My old ones have molded themselves to my feet and are so comfortable. It's a great product for a fair price. A rare value in today's world.

Fabulous boot5
These boots have gone around the world and my son wore them for six months in Argentina on a ranch- good protection from snakes etc- He couldn't live without these boots

Ease of Wear2
The length of the boot (12") makes it difficult to get on and off,
especially off. Years ago I wore a Frye boot in a 10" length. At that
time they called it a Half Wellington. I was in the Navy at the time,
so the color was black. It took a great shine.
