From the Manufacturer
The Frye Company is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. Founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a well-to-do shoemaker from England, and family-run until 1945, Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers on both sides of America's Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-American war, and by Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. When home-steading drew adventurous New England families to the West during the mid and late 1800's many of the pioneers wore Frye Boots for the long journey. Today Frye remains true to its roots with its line of heritage boots, but continues to innovate as it introduces chic new handbags, pumps, and sandals to its collection.

Great Boots
I absolutely love the color of these boots. I only had them about a month and I am still in the breaking in phase. I think they will be my new favorites after they are worn in just a little. I like a little wear on my boots though. I also recommend Frye's Double harness boots. my absolute favorite.
Great look, cheap quality.
I've had these boots for a year and while they look really awesome and I get compliments, they're made very poorly. First, when I received them, the snaps for the belt around the ankle didn't keep the belt secure. When I walked, the snap would pop and the belt would flap around my ankle! I had to take them to a nearby shoe repair to have them tighten it for me. Then, as I wear leggings with my boots, I noticed the stitching inside the boot (where they sew the pull tabs) have hard thread sticking on the inside of each boot. As a result, the boots DESTROYED my Wolford leggings! The hard thread kept picking on the side since it's not finished smoothly and created a "burn" look on my leggings. Now I can only wear them with other boots that go up to my knee to cover it up! And just 2 weeks ago, the snap on my right boot fell off ENTIRELY and I had to take the belts off. Definitely not worth the $300+ price that Frye is slapping on product that's made in mexico and falls apart after a year.
