Amazon.com Product Description
The Veronica boot has all of the chic edginess you've come to expect from Frye. Its durable leather upper is decorated by stud detailing that shows through its artfully abraded harness straps.
From the Manufacturer
The Frye Company is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. Founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a well-to-do shoemaker from England, and family-run until 1945, Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers on both sides of America's Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-American war, and by Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. When home-steading drew adventurous New England families to the West during the mid and late 1800's many of the pioneers wore Frye Boots for the long journey. Today Frye remains true to its roots with its line of heritage boots, but continues to innovate as it introduces chic new handbags, pumps, and sandals to its collection.
Customer Reviews
Very Comfortable.
The leather used for the actual boot is soft thick and beautiful. The harness is a little too intentionally scuffed for my taste but that is easily addressed by using leather conditioner. The toe box on this boot is more rounded than the toe box on the Campus or Engineer boot and the heel is broader and more flat in comparison. The sole and heel are already reinforced, so they'll be no taking them to the cobbler as with the Campus boot. I ordered a half size down and they fit perfectly with a medium to thicker sock. No "breaking in" period needed. Comfortable from the start! Cute with shorter dresses (if you like that look), leggings, and jeans.
Unique color
The plum color is very unique and the leather is good. The overall shoe is big and on the masculine side. There is a lot of room in the calves. I would recommend this boot for the special colors, distressing and harness detail however, better Frye boots that are also made in the USA are the campus styles and the original harness boots.
Comfortable, well crafted boot.
Comfortable, well crafted boot. No "break-in" required.I would highly recommend this boot to anyone. Comfortable for riding, and walking in. The only thing I don't care for is the harness strap, it is "TOO THICK" and BULKY. It would be a perfect boot if the harness strap was redesigned to a more classic look.
