From the Manufacturer
The Frye Company is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. Founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a well-to-do shoemaker from England, and family-run until 1945, Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers on both sides of America's Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-American war, and by Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. When home-steading drew adventurous New England families to the West during the mid and late 1800's many of the pioneers wore Frye Boots for the long journey. Today Frye remains true to its roots with its line of heritage boots, but continues to innovate as it introduces chic new handbags, pumps, and sandals to its collection.

Customer Reviews

I am in love!5
I have been in love with this boot for years. Have logged in many hours trying to find one similar to the veronica slouch, however, frye is a bit out of my price range. Came across this STEAL and could'nt pass it up. I have never been more pleased w/ any purchase, let alone an online one. Amazon is my new best friend. Customer service is stellar, and my boots arrived the next day. I havent taken them off since I opened the box. Since I have tried them on about 600 times I new they would fit perfect (very true to size) but I did'nt now they would be so comfortable. I also have the frye harness. Veronica much more comfy. Leather is butter soft and foot bed has lots of padding. (its an all dayer)I have large calves (15.5") and they fit them fine. You can adjust the shaft opening to fit smaller calves. So to summerize...If you've considered this boot, BUY IT!!!!!! you wont be disappointed.

well made and look good5
I do not know what happened but the prices changed!
A few days ago I bought a pair in black 8.5 paid $179. They must have had a sale. They look super good, and you can totally wear them all year round. They are true to size with a little bit of room exactly how the person before me described. So order your regular shoe size. However, I wear size 9 in almost all the shoes, unless they are made small. I got them in size 8.5, just tried them on a little snug, but not too much so wearing them a week or two will help break in the boots. I would have gotten them in size 9, my shoe size, had they been on sale, but since only size 8.5 and 10 were on sale, I choose 8.5 to save some money and party also because I previously bought the Paige Boots from Amazon in size 9.5 and they were huge. Each boot is made differently, of course, but if you see half a size smaller or bigger on sale, you will be ok as long as you do not very wide feet. If your feet are narrower than general you will be ok, you might need to wear thick socks with these if you are ordering a half a size up.

Overall great boots, I think my favourite boots by Frye, so far!

Quick Delivery4
I received my boots really fast and they are look great. It is hard to wear them for long periods of time but I feel like it might take a little bit to break them in. Kinda expensive, but so worth it once I got them! Great service!
