Rugged studs turn glitzy when they adorn the cowgirl-goes-glam Mary flat sandal from Frye. Bold straps make this style eye-catching, while the cushioned leather insole and rubber lift on the heel offer comfort.
From the Manufacturer
The Frye Company is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. Founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a well-to-do shoemaker from England, and family-run until 1945, Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers on both sides of America's Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-American war, and by Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. When home-steading drew adventurous New England families to the West during the mid and late 1800's many of the pioneers wore Frye Boots for the long journey. Today Frye remains true to its roots with its line of heritage boots, but continues to innovate as it introduces chic new handbags, pumps, and sandals to its collection.
Customer Reviews
stylish and comfortable
I don't normally post reviews, but I read the bad one so I felt compelled to add another point of view. I ordered these not knowing what to expect since I had never tried them on. Luckily I have other Fryes shoes (boots) so I went with that size and it worked out perfectly. I love these sandals-- like the boots, they took a little breaking in, but they were never uncomfortable. I wear them with jeans, skirts, shorts, everything! When I know I'll be walking a lot but still want a cute pair of shoes, I wear these. They have enough padding in the sole to be comfortable for a long time. I got the black ones and very nearly ordered another pair in the green, which is lovely. They're on super sale, truly a bargain if you ask me!
HARD & UGLY
Needed a white shoe and haven't bought anything from Frye except boots....they should stick with that. The leather is hard like on a pair of rough boots and the comfort is non-existent. The straps were ill fitting and the overall look was clunky and plain ugly. Don't waste your time. Wouldn't wear these for free.
