Dividers don't divide
I just received this and used it to pack my lunch for the day at work. It definitely holds a lot (enough for a large sandwich in the big compartment and 2 large quantities of "sides" in the other compartments). However, I learned the hard way that the dividers don't actually reach all the way to the cover, which was what I was hoping for. When I took the top off to eat my lunch, the peanut butter that I put in one of the small compartments to go with the celery that I put in the other had spilled over into the other compartment and made a mess. So for anyone who might be wondering if the compartments are truly separate they aren't. Just wanted to spare others the disappointment of buying this with the same expectations that I had.
Great but large..
Just got these handy containers this week. I like to cook on a Sunday and divide out the portions for the week. Well they are really nice but as some reviewers have said they are large cups. My husband said don't fill them up and he is a big eater but they are nicer than the little shallow cups you normally see. I had gotten the Rubbermaid ones that "lock". Well let me tell you that one is going in the trash because it never locks shut. These are great.
Holds lots and lots and lots and lots.....
This is described as a 'dinner plate sized' dish. Whoa. It's absolutely huge. No one in my family could possibly use this for a serving. Perhaps if two us want to share a plate. The other problem is easier to handle - the lid fits very tight and is difficult to get on and off. The sellers suggest soaking it in very hot water and then placing on the bottom to stretch. That does help. But the product isn't for the elderly who have problems with their hands.
It may be perfect for some users; for me, I like the smaller green one better. And neither is as good for taking meals to my elderly mom as I'd hoped.
