The light is easy to install: simply wrap the flexible collar around the umbrella pole, position the two halves of the umbrella light around the pole, and snap the two halves together. Slide the light over the collar to complete the process. The light features a separate hanging attachment that allows it to be hung from other structures such as a camper, tent, or gazebo. This light is perfect for all of your lighting needs for relaxing in the outdoors with no electric outlet required. We like them!
My husband and I orig bought the umbrella's with the lights built in, but they shorted out and broke. We were looking for an alternative so we wouldn't have cords on our bbq and this worked out perfect. We tried a different led light that had 4 clusters of led lights but it created more of a spot-light affect. This one illuminates all around without any gapes, is easy to install, to turn on and is not unsightly!

Come into the Light... The blue light
The two pieces come together perfectly around the deck umbrella. There's a warning on the product not to look into the LEDs because they can evidently cause damage to your eyes. If you have kids, you may want to consider another model. The blue light is attractive and really makes you want to look into it for some reason. This isn't bright enough to have a night-time meal, but it is enough light for having drinks and talking.

Battery Operated Umbrella Light
This lightweight umbrella light slips onto the umbrella pole and offers a nice light for outdoor dinners that linger into darkness. The light is not a focal during the day and works well. Installing the batteries is a bit tricky.
