Built rugged for adventure, this wrist-top device is perfect for hikers, campers, climbers, and mariners who want a useful GPS in a lightweight, waterproof, and affordable package. The Foretrex 201 combines the form factor of our new personal training system, the Forerunner 201, with the GPS navigation features of our popular Geko 201. The Foretrex 201 offers hands-free GPS navigation information, allowing you to concentrate on your outdoor activities. The Foretrex 201 features six dedicated buttons (GoTo, Page, Enter/Mark, Up, Down and Power), making it one of the easiest GPS units on the market to operate. Customer Reviews
Great little gps
I bought this with the intention of using it for play, and actually used it for work. This little GPS works great and tracks sattelites a lot quicker than the older GPS that I had owned previously. Very user friendly, and I'd definately recommend it to anyone that is getting into a GPS simply for it's simplicity to use.
Versatile Wrist GPS
I've been using my Fortrex 201 for several months now. I mainly use it for Powered Paragliding. You can program the display from a large list of parameters. When I fly, it shows my ground speed, climb rate, moving time, and altitude. I've also used it while snowboarding to show my speed, maximum speed, and altitude. While windsurfing, it shows my speed and maximum speed (it is waterproof). It is easy to use and inexpensive. It has many additional features such as keeping track of where you have been or helping you get back to your starting point.
