Customer Reviews
Only game in town . . .
My girlfriend and I just backpacked about 400 miles on the AT. We're both vegans so, not buying leather products, all signs pointed to this boot, the only entirely synthetic hiking boot on the market...
It broke in quickly and comfortably, which was nice, however the insoles weren't supportive enough; an additional cheap insole made long days a better experience.
While I recognize that any boot stays wet when wet, the Gor-tex tag didn't live up to its name. They soaked through quickly when going through dewy grasses or just after a rain, not to mention DURING a storm.
My last gripe seems to be a manufacturer's error: both of my toes are de-laminating after only 5 weeks use.
In regular, weekend hiking conditions I recommend this boot. It will proficiently do anything you may want. For aggressive, extended use, it wasn't worth the cost.
Go Vegan with your shoes
As a vegetarian for over 8 years now I thought it was important to support that in my apparel as well. I am not a pro hiker. I enjoy small hikes in challenging terrain. I have not given these babies a full hike yet. I did walk through a local creek and found the water proofing to my liking. For me the boot are very comfortable and I have been wearing them as everyday shoes. The other reviewer seems to have put them through a little more of a work out. These are Vegan boots nuff said. The more products like this sell the more we will see them on the market place. Peace
