Editorial Reviews
From Publishers Weekly
A pigtailed little girl tells how she and her family work through the seasons on the garden. In PW's words: "Stunningly evocative, the paintings are a remarkable combination of deep tones and glittering shades. This is a lovely, unpretentious story."

Fun frolic through the seasons...
If you are a gardener, you'll love this book. Since I am not, I enjoyed it but probably not to the extent of my gardening friends. The pictures are wonderful and spritely and the story moves along at a rather brisk pace. It goes through all four seasons, showing how the garden (and the chores) change throughout the year. I think this is a great book to begin a discussion of seasonal shifting, as well as a jumping off point for starting a garden with kids. A fun read... and the dogs in the book ROCK!
