Overall pretty complete for a beginner.
I had an earlier incarnation of this book years ago. When I recently got back into having house-plants (I moved to the US from Canada a few years ago and had to give my plants away) I found that I had lost my book!

This book is so thorough for anyone starting out with houseplants that I knew that all I had to do was find this again and I'd be set.

For the advanced horticulturalist this would be a bit lacking for plants that need special care but not by a lot.
