Robert Emmons received a Certificate of Merit from the US Department of Agriculture, and the State University of New York Chancellor¿s Award for Excellence in Teaching. He also received the New York State Turfgrass Association Citation of Merit for outstanding contributions to the turfgrass industry, and the 2004 Distinguished Service Award recipient from the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.

fantastic beginning textbook
This textbook has much useful information for students preparing for a career in the turfgrass industry. It does not go into great depth on sports fields and golf courses, but there are other books that cover those details.
