Lovely photos, & a good mix of international gardens, but almost no text, & no overview of the garden plans,so no way to put the pictures into a garden context.

Any seeking an inspirational gardening guide will find DREAM GARDENS a welcome pick.5
Libraries seeking a sourcebook of modern inspirational gardens designs will want to include DREAM GARDENS in their collection: it gathers modern gardens from around the world of all styles, and provides a range of lovely locations from large complex gardens to small, minimalist city gardens. The variety and scope is represented in a series of gorgeous color photos supplemented by discussions of key features and construction insights, including notes on how the garden matches to the house and environment around it. Any seeking an inspirational gardening guide will find DREAM GARDENS a welcome pick.

Nice, but Boring3
This is a nice book - I'm not going to resell it or trade it in at my local used bookstore. But it was disappointing in this regard: it focuses almost solely on "English-style cottage-type flower gardens." There's a few gardens outside the UK, and a few gardens that are more modern in flavor, but for the most part, there's an amazing sameness to all the gardens and the images (which are gorgeous). I would have preferred other stles, other types, other genres in addition to the English style cottage gardens. Additionally, I would have liked some plan views to provide a context for the images. If I had to do it all over again, knowing then what I know now, I probably wouldn't have purchased it. I like more variety.
