Product Description

This beautiful new introduction comes from a Japanese breeder and is very floriferous and long-blooming. Like the widely popular Endless Summer Hydrangea, Forever and Ever Double Pink blooms on both old and new wood and blooms repeatedly throughout the season. Double pink's unique multi-petalled flowers create a billowy mound of full 6 inch clusters that almost cover the plant when it blooms. The mounding habit reaches about 24-30" tall and grows to about 36" wide. Forever and Ever Double Pink's compact habit makes it perfect for containers or small gardens. The fact that it blooms on new wood makes it great for northern areas where it is traditionally difficult to have hydrangeas bloom. Double Pink is one of our top picks for 2006 and is sure to sell out quickly! Plants will be shipped at the correct time for planting in the spring. For best results plant in early spring to late summer. Prefers an area with morning sun and afternoon shade. Will perform best in moist, but not wet, soil. Add Soil Moist if you think the soil is too dry. Plant so the top of the root ball is a half inch below the surface of the soil. For the best pink-toned blooms, use Chesapeake Blue Crab Compost, with a handful of Bulb-Tone and a handful of Lime at planting. Top-dress with a handful of Bulb-Tone and, in acid soils, a handful of Lime every year in late November and early March.

One Teriffic Plant! 5
This is one hydrangea that lives up to it's advertising. It blooms prolifically, stands up to Zone 5 weather conditions, and fills a need for hydrangea lovers who don't have the space for the larger cultivars. One of my favorite hydrangeas.
