Big, lily-like flowers often repeat during the summer. A vigorous multi-stemmed large shrub with an upright rounded habit and clean foliage. Reported to be sterile triploid. Developed at the USNA. Shooting Star Magnolia/ gone in a second
Don't blink or you will miss this plant altogether. Like a shooting star, it was nice when it arrived but dead the next day. All three leaves dropped off in unison. Ah.. but there was still a bit of life in there. Three mosquitoes hatched out of mine! Guess the bugs were free. I can't recommend this tiny plant, at least not in the winter. Company made no attempt to package it so that it might live. Fragrant? More like a swampy odor.
