Product Description
This perennial tolerates drought and blazing sun! Thin, Brilliant Violet Spikes Form a Solid Wall of Color! 12-inch dwarf plant blooms in early summer, then repeats! Masses of pencil-thin, vibrantly colorful bloomspikes arise on this perennial Sage, so densely set that they present a solid wall of color in the border! The violet blooms are richly colorful on dwarf 12-inch plants, blooming in early summer and then repeating their fine show later in the season. A spectacular source of dark, intense color and narrow, vertical form, Violet Queen is one of the finest Salvias we know, attracting butterflies to the garden and prompting exclamations and double-takes from visitors. Not fussy about soil, it flourishes in blazing sun, tolerating drought and often reblooming.

Customer Reviews
Great item!
This is that flower that you see just about everyone use. It's a rich, deep purple color that just about takes your breath away. Plant it around some Colorado silver blue spruce bushes and well, wow. Huge wow factor for the garden. I love mine - but a word of caution. The more you water them, the more babies they make. My 6 plants turned into 30 this year with all the snow and rain we've had this year so far. I've given away 7 so far, full 14" bushes, not just a little "slip" so to speak. Just keep that in mind in determining how many to buy. You won't be disappointed! They stink to high heaven but the bumble bees, hummingbirds and butteflies think they hung the moon so your garden is truly very alive all summer long. They bloom more than twice, probably about 5 times a summer and the blooms last for about 3 weeks. Great product, tolerates any soil, and they love the hot sun. Highly recommend!
