Average customer review:Product Description
White Chinese Wisteria (Wisteria sinensis 'Alba') The Chinese wisteria is a shade-tolerant vine, but it blooms best when grown in the sun. It prefers a deep, rich loam, has a moderate growth rate and is very easy to grow. The vine is easily pruned to keep it contained. The pure whit flowers, borne in drooping 8-12" racemes, are produced in late spring or early summer. It will cover a large trellis or arbor very quickly and is beautiful as a focal point to an entrance or porch. Hardy in zone 4-9

Customer Reviews
No luck here.
I was really looking forward to these. Planted as per instructions but not a single seed germinated.
Buy Only if you know how to grow these types of plants!
just like any other plant from hirts you usually have to put the seeds i n Very High HUMIDITY terariums, thats how i started growing my seeds and its cool, i didnt mean to put 1 star my bad!
These seeds OK but no idea how plant will look and disgusted with Hirt's
I have a 4-season sunroom full of seedlings - with close to 90-95% germination rate (Ferry Morse seed and a couple others). Last year, I only tried a small amount - 4 seed packets from Hirt's and then a couple others (e.g. from a funeral). Everything germinated except two packets from Hirt's. When I contacted Hirt's, they just said that they don't guarantee their seed. Don't be dumb like me - only get your seed from local nurseries or other companies that guarantee their seed. So my rating is for Hirt's, not for this seed. As for the wisteria, all 5 germinated and I planted them out last year, and this year they are all alive and starting to get leaf buds - plants are about 4 inches tall or so. I have no idea what they'll look like but they look healthy. Unfortunately, the reviews for Hirt's don't bode well for the wisteria looking like the picture. Just a caution - really not worth purchasing from Hirt's when there are so many other excellent companies out there that back their product. The other seed packet that germinated was ipomoea, and it had only 4 out of 10 seeds germinate. Two plants that I purchased from them died quickly. My green thumb was hurting a bit until I saw the other reviews and was reassured that I hadn't suddenly become a bad gardener/houseplant keeper!
