Enjoy Randomly Beating Buttons?
If only I'd waited a day for the reviews to come out on this one. I assumed it would at least be acceptable, considering it was the same developers from the Fight Night series. You will not be swinging with analog in this game. However you will be playing an unwinable game of rock-paper-scissors via button mashing against the computer, which you will ultimately lose. Does that sound like fun? The action is so frantic that you can't tell when you've intentially countered, parried, or blocked. Occasionally you'll connect with a haymaker and your oppenent will fly upward in slo-mo. Then shortly after he lands, he'll do the same to you. There is no point. There is no defending or strategy. I realize it's an arcade take on boxing and isn't supposed to be completely realistic, but you'll honestly have more fun watching a demo while fiddling with a controller and pretending you're actually playing. Don't waste your money!
Wackness!!
I agree with the previous review. This game is garbage. Unless your around 5 years old and don't mind smashing butons there is really no fun factor in this game. I can't believe a Next Generation system still makes games like these. Stay away from this one and spend your money on something else.
Not as cool as you'd think...
So I was watching TV one day and Kimbo Slice was promoting this game FaceBreaker, it looked really cool. Apparently they have this facemaker engine where you can hook up your xbox vision take a picture of your face and the game will manifest the face on to a previously styled boxed, I thought this was going to be fun and I was proven wrong, The face generated wasn't even close to mine the lighting in my room apparently translated to me looking Dominican and the game itself is a masher to say the least. You tap the button to jab either high or low, you hold and release it to hook high or low, and after you pulverize your opponent for a little bit a meter fills up allowing you knock the crap out of them sending them into slow mo when if you hit the button again you'll lift them off the ground sending them flying through the air. It's pretty cartoony and after every round depending on how bad you got beat up your character reflects the damage and pants accordingly to how worked you just got. It's a silly game and best played with friends, The computer tends to read your punches no matter what after the first round, the soundtrack is cool EATRAX. but doesn't play while you fight which is a bummer. It's fun, but it's simple and can sometimes be very frustrating. now that the price has dropped i'd say it's worth picking up.
