Ehh..could be better.3
I got this game mostly out of curiosity. I am a long time player of the Pop'n Music import for the PS2 and wanted to see how this compared. Unfortunately, it doesn't.

Don't get me wrong, it is quite fun to play, but the song list is far from the best. There are quite a few U.S. licensed songs, but woefully few Konami originals from the imports. There are no unlockables and additional songs can be downloaded. This is the song list:

Bad Day
Celebration
It's Raining Men
My Life Would Suck Without You
We Are Family
Boogie Oogie Oogie
Space Dog (Konami original from the import)
It's My Life
This Fire
ABC
I Want You Back
Virtual Insanity
Take On Me
9 to 5
Funkytown
The Final Countdown
Everybody Have Fun Tonight
Oops..I Did It Again
Enola Gay
Mickey
Euro Piccola
The Reflex
Hangin' Tough
The United States of Whatever
Good Times
Meikyoushisui (Zen-Jazz for the import players)
Venus
Ace of Spades '08
Come Clean
September
Prince Charming
Pulse
Ska Ska No. 4 (Konami original from the import)
Echoes
Opportunity
Pump Up The Volume
Rock N' Roll High School
777 (Twee Pop Konami original)
Shamshir Dance
S-S-PM&R (The ONLY original Konami Pop'n Music song made especially for this release)

There are three additional sets you can download via Wi-Fi. The sets are two songs each and are from various import releases. Sets are available for download at 100 Wii Points per set:

French Pop Set:
Une Lettle Mon Copain
Dimanche

Trance Set:
full-consciousness green
Psyche Planet-V

Techno Set:
0/1 Angel
Sci-Fi

Gameplay is fun, although the left blue button is near impossible to hit. I had to mess around with the sensor bar a bit to get it to work. Even then I had to hit down hard in order to get it to register. I hope that this is just a small flaw in my sensor bar and not in the game itself.

There are one player and multiplayer modes. Multiplayer is for in person play only and there are no wi-fi competitions. That would have been a cool add in. The multiplayer is basically head on competitions to see who can hit the most buttons correctly. They are quite fun. There are four different types of games.

Overall, the game is fun and even more so if you have a group of people, but the song list makes the gameplay short. Maybe I'm just used to the 60-100 song lists from the imports. Either way, it's a good time waster.
