Makes me look forward to picking up my DS5
Wordmaster delivers on fun and just the right amount of challenge. There are two styles of gaming, Wordmaster mode and Anagram mode. In Wordmaster mode you are given 8 chances to guess a six letter word in one of several categories. Each category has a subject that gives you a little bit of a clue. You also get clues as you try to figure out the word. If you have picked out the correct letters but they are in the wrong spot, the game lets you know. If you have picked out a correct letter in the correct spot it lets you know that too. The faster you guess the correct answer the more points you get. You work your way up from Novice through several levels to Wordmaster.
The Anagram mode is a little different. Each word is still six letters but the game does not let you know if you have chosen the right letters or not. This is the only thing I wish was different in the game. If it worked like the Wordmaster part of the game it would be a lot more fun in my opinion. It does give you a subject category just like the Wordmaster section. In this section you only get four guesses. Definitely a challenge but in a fun way.
All in all great game. It keeps your attention, challenges you just enough and it's tons of fun to play. I pick this one up and play it everyday since I got it. Nice one to add to your DS collection!

if you like word games, you will like this4
There is nothing exciting about this game, but if you like "Jumbles" from the newspapers this will be right up your alley. In anagrams, you rearrange the letters to form a word. In wordmaster, you are given a clue and have to give a 6 letter word. If you give a correct letter that letter lights up, if you place a letter in the correct position, it is in a different color. You have 10 tries to get it correct. The clues are strange at times, but you can just randomly select letters to figure out the word--you dont have to spell a real word. The bonus round give a list of words with a letter or two missing in each row and you add the correct letter. It gives you the choice of writing the letter or choosing from an alphabetical list of letters. There is no save button--everything is saved automatically.
I love word games so I am enjoying this, but if you are looking for bells and whistles, look somewhere else.

If you like word games, you'll have fun with this one.4
While waiting for my daughter to finish her piano lessons, I picked up her DS and sampled Brain Age 2. I enjoyed it so much that Santa put a DS and games in my stocking for Christmas this year! WordMaster is one of the games I received. WordMaster tests your memory of 6 letter words, and the graphics are charming. I recommend it for those who want to add more brain exercises to their game library.
