beautiful bar stool
This is a beautiful bar stool, but I had to return it. The seat is actually over 30 inches high and was too high for my counter. There was no information to be found regarding the height of the bar stool at Amazon website, so I took a chance and ordered it. I'm very sorry it didn't work. Nice quality at very reasonable price.

Bar stool needs help
I recieved the barstools in a timely manner with the parts list included with no assembly instructions. One sentence would have saved me time. ATTACH THE ARMRESTS TO THE SEAT PRIOR TO ATTACHING THE SEAT TO THE BASE! If you attach the seat to the base first it is much more difficult to attach the arms.
After assembly I sat on both bar stools and with little pressure on the arm rests one broke at the attachment to the back rest. Later that evening we had guests and a lady friend sat on the other stool and with the same result (the arm rest broke off @ the back rest). This attachment point needs work.
I contacted Amazon customer service (several times) but did not recieve information on Global Distinctions - phone number and/or address. I was left with 2 options, leave the arm rests off or epoxy them back together - I went the glue route. In addition the copper cover on the base support (foot rest) of the stools should be installed on all 4 "rungs" or a contact provided w/ a distrubitor to purchace additional copper covers.

IMPRESSIVE - QUALITY - VALUE
Purchased three bar stools to surprise my hubby. We have not been able to agree on bar stools for over three years. He was surprised alright - he LOVED these stools. Perfect size for our built in bar - which we designed and built ourselves. One stool had a crack on the top piece. Email Amazon and had another stool within three days. Global Distinctions / Amazon had a great price right before Christmas - with free shipping - couldn't pass it up and hubby is also glad I ordered.
