An interesting fairy tale-retelling. The writing is simple, which is appropriate for its intended audience, and beautiful. I was impressed with Ani's transformation from a shy, timid young lady into a lovely, courageous woman. Ani was still the same person...just braver. It's an innocent, heart-warming story.

The inner strength of the main character, Sorcha, is simply unbelievable. Her humility, compassion, and hope amidst trials are inspiring. That's something I can connect to. Plus, it's a story of conspiring Fair Folk, evil villains, war, death, betrayal, family, and a love that transcends all boundaries.

Absolutely hilarious! Through letters, two cousins share their adventures. The book starts out a little slow, but it picks up quickly as their stories intertwine. Set in a magic-riddled 18th century England, this is purely fun book!

Christian Romance. After the fall of Jerusalem, a young Jewish woman is sold to a rich Roman family. While in their home, she courageously shares the gospel with them and resists the advances of the Roman that loves her. Along with her story, there's the tale of a fierce and angry Gaul gladiator. His superior skills eventually earn him his freedom, but his hate won’t allow him to feel it.

This is just a funny book. There's a bit of romance, but it's very, very light.
