Macomber is always a hit for getting into the Christmas season. Shirley, Goodness and Mercy are up to their old antics.

I listened to this book on tape. It is made up of fascinating vignettes about Chicagoan who may not be famouse but are unique and well known in there worlds.

I've been off work a few days and am listening to this at home. It is an interesting story of a young Afghan girl who immigrates to America. I work for the Citizenship and Immigration Services office where she has applied to become a citizen. I met her when she and her mother were naturalized. She spoke at the ceremony.

Light-hearted holiday mystery fare.

Charmingly bizarre woman-bonding tales. I really liked Connie and her antics, run-on sentences and quirkiness, but the book was a bit too long and just strange enough to not be for everyone.

A fun feel-good comfort food type story.

Short quick stories of a train conductor on the Chicago Metra routes. Fell short of being great...a few too many "this is what I did to make the situation better" stories and too many real-life recaps we who travel on the Metra would rather not know or think about.

This is a great Stone Barrington set in Hollywood. Very entertaining.

Very entertaining murder mystery revolving around books and horses. I listened to this in the car.

I read this to prepare for a tour of Chicago offered by the Chicago History Museum of the places mentioned in the book. Book was great & tour even better.

Very interesting improbable tale of terrorist and captives becoming friends. Great character development.

Greeley has given us another entertaining novel. This time set in Nazi Germany with the Irish ambassador and in Chicago tracking down a young Irish American man who has gone to Iraq seeking peace.

Nice relationship twists when the daughters of now dead parents are reunited with the owners of the Inn where their parents were wed.

Fun quick read with interesting tea information.

I am listening to this on Cd. It is a very well done new english translation.
