Ex addict lawyer cracks case. Book was good but had some faults and not necessarily discussable in a book club setting. We are learning to define what we would read for pleasure, and what type of book should be chosen for discussion.

Nancy Drew mystery with a Scooby Do ending. The group was divided on this one. Only goes to prove that the old adage, "different strokes for different folks" rings true. Lukewarm who dunnit in a local beach setting. Strange ending.

Another strange read, however a few members liked it. Offbeat tale about a schizophrenic subway virgin. The most expensive book on our list, for sure. We're sticking to books that are a few years old from now on.

Well received book about how one woman changes her life for the sake of her ill Mother. Expected it to be funnier than it was, but good book just the same and one that most of us wouldn't have otherwise read.

This book averaged 4 out of 5 stars among our readers. More than just a history lesson, this book had us rethinking our own relationships and hopefully will make each of us a better friend to the important people in our lives. The grisly scenes regarding the footbinding made us all thankful that we are "big footed women!"
