Navigation guide for breast cancer journey
I am thrilled that this book exists to help guide patient's through their cancer journey. As an oncology nurse practitioner I find that many breast cancer patient's still have questions after their consultation with their physician. This book is a wonderful tool because patient's can refer to the sections they need and take their time to fully understand their condition and treatment options. I've had several patients come into the office with many sections of the book highlighted and bookmarked. These patient's stated that they felt empowered and informed and were glad that they were able to be active participants in their cancer treatment. I highly recommend this book to anyone embarking on their cancer journey.
Breast Cancer: Real Questions, Real Answers
At a time of receiving frightening/shocking health news, this book is well organized, a great reference, and easy to read and use. Best of all, it's a terrific resource when you can't remember the answer to a question you've previously asked, either because you can't find your notes or due to a temporary case of "chemo brain". Consider giving this book as a gift instead of sending flowers. As a breast cancer survivor, I wish this book had been available when I was starting my journey to wellness.
