Amazon.com Review
Elegant, practical, and spacious, this 60-bottle wine cellar from Haier provides stable, cool quarters for an extensive menu of your favorite wines. The cellar features an electronic thermostat ranging from 39 to 60 degrees, so you can tailor it exactly to your needs. It also comes with simple-to-use automatic settings for reds and whites, and an LED readout showing both the programmed and the current internal temperature for easy monitoring. Designed to cradle the bottles, the 11 chrome racks slide out for easy access. The double-panel door, fitted with smoked glass, comes with a lock and key for extra security. A soft, unobtrusive interior light flips on with a simple switch. Like Haier's other cellars, this unit is CFC-free and comes with a one-year warranty. --Emily Bedard

Defective product, worse service1
Bottom line: Don't buy Haier. I purchased a 60 bottle wine refrigerator on April 18, and it didn't even turn on. A&E, Haier's designated servicers, have twice misdiagnosed the problem and ordered the wrong parts. A & E has failed to follow up on ordered parts, and if I hadn't made repeated complaints, I probably still would have never heard from them.

The final straw came June 8, when, after I confirmed that the part HAD arrived and confirmed the appointment, the local scheduler cancelled the appointment, claiming the part---that was sitting in my living room--hadn't arrived.

As a result, 60 days later, and my refrigerator STILL does not work. Haier refuses to exchange or refund my money, saying A&E has to "officially" say the product is unfixable.

Well, I officially say that Haier and A&E have delivered the worst product and service I've ever experienced. Bottom line: Don't buy Haier. If you must, only buy it from a place where you can return the product immediately.

Works wonderfully, but LOUD!3
This wine cooler is great - lots of space and we really like the LED readout. It has a nice look to it. The temperature seems to stay fairly stable at what we set it to, however when the unit does turn on, it is LOUD. Sounds like a wind tunnel. The owner's manual indicated that it could sound like "boiling water". It's louder than boiling water, believe me! We can hear it in our family room one room away. Thankfully, once the temperature gets back to the preset temp, it becomes quiet again. It is louder than our large regular fridge in the kitchen.

Also, it's advertised as a 60 bottle cooler - but we only count enough space for 55 bottles.

Even though it is not a dual-zone cooler, it pretty much functions as one with the upper shelves being about 5 degrees warmer and the lower shelves 5 degrees cooler. We keep the reds at the top and the whites/sparkling ones at the bottom.

Other than the noise, we like the cooler and it functions well. Looking at other reviews on the Internet for similar coolers from this manufacturer, it seems the noise factor is something mentioned by more than one individual.

It vibrates1
Don't buy this unit. After running a Haier wine cellar for ~4 years, I lost my entire wine collection. Why? Vibrations. After pulling bottle after bottle of wine and finding that they had gone off, I began investigating why. At first I thought it was temperature fluctuations, or the fact that the tinted glass may not be UV resistant. However, the final answer came when I tested for vibrations. And there are *a lot* of vibrations in the interior. I lost 60+ bottles of premium wine; don't make the same mistake.
