About the Author
Yosef-ben-Jochannan (affectionately known as Dr. Ben) is a master teacher with a forceful command of ancient and contemporary history. He uses wit, humor, and common sense to accent history and expose historical distortions. Dr. Ben has taught on the faculty of colleges and universities in the United States and abroad. His most recent assignment was as Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Languages, Al Azhar University (Arab Republic of Egypt). Prior to that, he served as Adjunct Professor of History and Egyptology at Cornell University's Africana Studies Research Center.

"Good and Honest!"
Dr. Ben has given us a simple, straight to the point summary on what scholars should know on Bibical History. For those who think that he has a secret agenda, reader know that Dr. Ben is indeed a Jew. Judaism practicers were originally all Africans. This could be understood if you are aware that Judaism springs from Egypt, wich is in Africa. Examples range from the creation story(Khnum), the flood(Ra and Hathor),Jacobs the dreamer, monotheism(Ahkenaton), the golden calf(Hathor), 7 day creation, the Laws(Book of the Dead), and the Christ myth(Osiris,Isis,and Horus)got their model in Egypt. Not to mention according to the Bible Abraham,Jacob,Joseph,Moses, and Jesus all went to Egypt. Also any Bibical schoar should know that the old testament wasn't compiled until 200 B.C at the library of Alexandria, in Egypt. It was written from Hyroglyphics, and papyras texts of the Egyptians. This is not just speculation, but fact. Anybody serious in this study should read African Origin of Western Religion(Dr. Ben), Arican presence in Early Asia(Ivan Van Sertima), 16 Crucified Saviors(Kersey Graves), and Aricans who wrote the Bible(Nana Darkwah).

Required reading for King James Version followers
I used to think the kjv was the only bible from God (OT) written in his own words and later in Jesus (NT) words. After reading this reference guide, I have come to understand the bible is a collection of stories (versions)written from "men inspired by God" (see front credits of any kjv) including Shakespeare. This means anyone "inspired by God" can write such a inspirational book such as a pastor, bishop, rabbi, cardinal, etc. Even an ordinary man or woman can do so if he/she is "inspired" to do so. My second discovery which is just as fascinating, was at least 16 major versions of the bible were written before the kjv. The first one written approx 6000-7000 years ago (5000-4100 BC) There are also dozens of bibles other than kjv that you should find somewhat difficult or expensive to obtain. (I wonder why!) I close in saying the 3 major religions, Christanity, Judiasm and Islam all require you to seek God through Jesus, Abraham and Mohammad and basically three books (KJV, Talmud/Torah, Koran). Just like there are dozen of references to read about any subject, one should seek out more than one reference to the truth.

Being that I spent some summers in Harlem with my Aunt and I have been there for the layman religous forum at that same Chock Full of Nuts I think the pamphet hits its mark but it is very important to understand that this was extracted out of the Authors 3 part volume. Now those volumes are a must read if this book has interest you.
